The God argument
The concept of God raises many questions and arguments.I have tried to document one such argument between two friends to the best of my ability.In no way is this an exhaustive one and everyone is welcome to present their arguments below.
Mr A:Faith,positive thinking etc should be kept apart from the concept of God.You cannot relate faith to a supernatural being.You have to believe that good and bad things happen but it cannot be due to such a being.If you do so it is as if you are fooling yourself.There is no such supernatural being.
Mr B:How can you just give such a statement that such a being does not exist?
Mr A:A straight forward reason is because there has been no proof for the same.
Mr B:But there also has been no proof that God does not exist.So we can as well say that God exists.
Mr A:So you mean to say that there exists a being that is controlling our every day life,controls all the laws of nature and has the power to violate them?
Mr B:No,what i believe is it may exist but not in the realm of our world or universe.It exist somewhere outside our universe and does not really interfere with it.
Mr A:Then why do you care about something and pray to that,something which has nothing to concern with you.
Mr B:It is a matter of individual faith.Nobody has the right to say that one cannot pray to God similarly nobody has the right to tell others to pray to a particular God.
Mr A:Faith is a different concept.At the core it is the anticipation of a better future or that our actions have reactions.Where does God come into the picture?
Mr B:Humans have a need to give reasons for things that they believe in.They just cannot believe that things happen.They need to believe that things happen for a reason and that reason they believe is God.
Mr A:They actual reason everybody is the concept of Karma.Everybody knows that and they believe in that.Where does God come in?
Mr B:You are right ,it is the concept of Karma that says that actions have consequences.It is sort of saying (Actions)=(consequences).This is what Karma says .I feel God is the "=" sign or something that puts the equals sign there.
Mr A:The relation between actions and consequences is not such a simple relation.There exists a factor of probability or so called luck in between them.So your equation actually becomes (Actions)=(Consequences)P.
For example just because a guy studied for the exam doesn't mean that he will do well.There does exist a factor of probability.
Mr B:Yes,there does exist probability.How does that change the argument.
Mr A:We associate God with perfection and truly how can God be God if there is any sort of imperfection associated,then he becomes just like any of us mortals.Probability and perfection cannot coexist in any sense.So since you say such a equation exist.God cannot exist.
Mr B:Our world is imperfect and God does not exist in our world.The probability comes up due to the imperfections in our real world.
It's like you have a signal that you input and you get an output at some other point in space and time.God is something that makes sure that the output comes but similar to the way a signal gets corrupted with noise, the factor of probability is added to our so called signal.
Mr A:So you mean to say that if there are no imperfections then there exist a perfect equation that can control the universe?
Mr B:Yes.And as a matter of fact many scientists such as Stephen Hawking belive that such a equation exist.
Mr A:Where does God come in here?You can as well pray to the equation since it is the one that controls our fate.
Mr B:Just as one law can be taken in different forms by changing the variables according to usage and be called as different things this equation can be called God just a well it can be called Dog.It is according to the individual as to how he calls it and how he believes it.
As to faith and God,there are different concepts in theory or on the paper but when a human's involvement is added to it they overlap at some level.That is due to the imperfections in humans or the way that they are built........

Before you realize
Counting seconds
